This is definitely the year we want to celebrate Sport Tourism in Canada! The week of May 29 – June 4 has been declared Tourism Week in Canada, and we’re getting ready to let people know that sport event hosting is BACK!
The theme for the week, Travel Now: For Work, Life, and Play! provides a terrific forum to celebrate the many ways sport tourism contributes to the Canadian economy and to the development of sport throughout the country.
Whether you’re a destination tourism professional, an event rights holder, an event supplier or management firm, a hotelier, in the education sector, or an elected official, let’s champion the impact of our sector together.
Coming soon is an online toolkit that will feature shareable messages and visuals. Plus, we’re running a contest to motivate our members to participate in promoting the sport tourism sector during Tourism Week in Canada.
