Hockey Canada’s latest Tracking Maltreatment in Sanctioned Hockey report outlines how the sport is identifying and responding to maltreatment nationwide. The annual report shares 2024–2025 data on behaviours breaching the Maltreatment section of the Hockey Canada Playing Rules and reviews the efficacy of complaint pathways. A new analytical component offering context and isolating trends detected an uptick in reported maltreatment incidents across all categories, which researchers say is consistent with newer mandatory reporting rules and improved detection.
