How AI Impacts Associations and Not for Profits
Ottawa Tourism and The Hague & Partners Convention Bureau surveyed associations and not-for-profit organizations to better understand the potential impact of AI. The resulting white paper—Ethics and Education: Essential requirements for successful use of AI by association event organisers—found that while 63% of respondents are already using AI to help organize events, they’re only scratching the surface. The paper concludes that AI has the potential to further enhance event productivity and make data usage and manipulation more effective.”

AI Use in Social Media
People are using AI to perform a host of tasks in social media, from writing and revising text to developing new ideas, generating images and providing customer service, according to Social Trends 2024, a report from social media management platform Hootsuite. Sixty-one percent of organizations surveyed are using AI to reduce sta! workload related to social media, while 62% of consumers say they are less likely to engage with and trust content if they know it was created by an AI application. The report o!ers a handy cheat sheet to help decide when to delegate tasks to bots, and when to keep it human.”
