6 steps for successful mentorship

  1. ASSESS READINESS for mentorship and motivations for engagement.
  2. PREPARE to be an effective mentee/mentor.
  3. SET THE STAGE through vision and goal setting, clarifying roles and developing a plan.
  4. DEVELOP TOGETHER by implementing the mentoring plan, regular check-ins and ongoing reflection and assessment
  5. WRAP UP by assessing goal achievement, and celebrating the mentorship experience.
  6. EVALUATE effectiveness of the experience and plan next steps in career advancement.
