Keynote Speakers set to ENERGIZE Spo Ho Xperience™ in Charlottetown

September 17, 2024 – The keynote speakers for the upcoming Spo Ho Xperience™ presented by City of Charlottetown and Meetings & Conventions PEI are now confirmed. And all three keynote sessions promise to continue the tradition of challenging the sport hosting industry to ‘Change the Game’.

Kicking off day one of the two-day event, which runs October 28-29, 2024, in Charlottetown, P.E.I., is Theresa Bailey, the Founder and CEO of Starfish Synergies Inc. She will draw on her deep connection and commitment to sport and community to set the stage for SPOHOX24™, as she engages participants on the intricacies of stickhandling difficult conversations.

A native New Brunswicker, Normand Hector, also known as Normani, is a certified crucial conversation specialist, as well as a ground-breaking queer, black drag entertainer. His dynamic presentation, Being Comfortable in Your Own Skin/ Acceptance & Belonging, will remove the fear of doing or saying the wrong thing within our diverse cultures. His session is sponsored by Tournkey.

On day two, Sarah McVanel, the Chief Recognition Officer at Greatness Magnified, will deliver the final keynote presentation sponsored by Visit Mississauga.  The Flip Side of Failing will draw attendees out of their comfort zone, encourage them to take risks, and demonstrate how to harness the power that comes from failure to go further than ever imagined.

In addition to the three keynote presenters, a keynote panel discussion will look at Beyond Cheers and Chants: Crafting Immersive Experiences for Enhanced Fan Engagement. Sharing from their own experiences and innovations of employing strategies to captivate and connect with fans are Chris Larsen, President, Sports & Entertainment Atlantic; Kim Doyle, Founder, Resonate XM and Mike Morreale, Commissioner & Co-Founder, Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). It will be sponsored by Greater Victoria Sport Tourism Commission

Several popular features of the Spo Ho Xperience™ gathering are back again this year. The Spo Ho X Field Trips™ are offsite excursions to local venues and other ‘off the beaten track’ sites that demonstrate creative sport hosting opportunities in Charlottetown. The evening on Day 1 features a (semi) competitive test of teamwork and networking at the Spo Ho X Skillz Competition™ & Dinner presented by Tourism PEI which is followed by the late night lounge (Xtra Innings™) presented by Events Regina.
