Calling on DISRUPTERS, FORWARD-THINKERS and CHANGEMAKERS to lead sport hosting discussions

May 2, 2023: (Ottawa, ON) …. The newest initiative in the sport hosting industry, Spo Ho Xperience™, is looking for engaging, informed leaders to facilitate discussions and spark debate at the upcoming SPOHOX gathering on October 11-12 in Ottawa.

This exclusive, invitation-only event will explore ways to change the sport hosting game in Canada and score bigger and better sport hosting opportunities for destinations, sport events rights holders, and those providing products and services to the sport hosting industry.

One of the features of SPOHOX is The Scrum™ where attendees will take part in interactive workshops and discussions. The SPOHOX™ partners are looking for hosts who are up to the challenge of managing spicey topics impacting the sport hosting industry – where things may get awkward or be magical – or maybe a little bit of both. The themes are provocative; the conversations will be lively; it will be memorable and change the way attendees think.

SPOHOX™ will bring together sport hosting professionals from across Canada and the United States. Speaker/presenter applicants will join a group of respected leaders who are already lined up to lead a series of 30-minute interactive discussions on designated topics during a two-hour session. Choose from these potential topics, or propose a relevant sport business topic of your own:

  • Accessibility & Events
  • Artificial Intelligence & Sport Events
  • Careers in Sport – Thinking Outside the Box
  • Imposter Syndrome
  • Equal Pay
  • Esports & Event Hosting
  • Fan Engagement
  • Risk Management
  • Safe Sport
  • Small Town Sport Hosting
  • Sports Betting & Events
  • Sport Sponsorship
  • The Employment Crisis Facing the Hospitality Industry

If you’re interested in joining this group, and are comfortable leading difficult discussions, submit your application online.
